The first blog and I am trying to hang on already. Setting this up to make the ideal to come out of the brain and become something physical has been difficult. I know what is in my head but it has been everywhere, and recovering from knee surgery has not made it any easier. So scattered and when I sit to build this site (with is the third time), make the basics work and then refocus on what I really want to do with this project.
The project is supposed to be a place of communication, sharing, encouragement and connections as many people struggle with the opportunity to start again.]
What do I mean by start again? Well, I grew up with a mom who always did New Year’s Resolutions – we all did. And it taught me about failure and self-loathing early on. I now that wasn’t mom’s intentions but that was the outcome. And ever since I can remember, my life has always seemed to center around, “Maybe Monday I’ll Start..” or “A new notebook will help…” or “instead of this…let’s back it down to this…”. And even better is the excuses as to why I had to restart something I would never complete.
So, today at 53 going on 18 in my head, it just seemed time to sort this out for myself and if I could help others along the way, then let’s go. This website and all that will be coming is me finally putting my foot down on myself. And the other reason is simply this…
I
DESERVE
IT.
I men really, I need this for me. And I can’t wait any longer…I mean really.
So here is where I have started. 2021 I went from 287 to 145 thankfully through a very successful bariatric sleeve surgery. I am now also the proud owner of to brand new knees (with in 4 months I might add.)
I have also come to the conclusion my professional career is where it is going to be when it ends..that is another story, but coming soon.
I do not want to waste these new changes and it’s about time that I get heard. (That’s another story too for another day.) This C2C program as you will is for me to go through something with others who need help doing it as well.
Change is hard, uncomfortable and truly sometimes those closest to you may not be willing for those changes to happen because it changes something they do want to change.
Anyway, I am going to stop here for now. But I hope you join me in this journey or that I can help you on yours.
Peace, God Bless and keep rockin’ like the rockstar you are.

What are you afraid of? Really, fear is the biggest obstacle for change. And it can be so devastating that the self-worth doesn’t just sink, it tanks to the bottom. Today, I am dealing with this. My mother had dementia that came on in her late 60’s early 70’s and died in Jan. 2024. She also had Hashimoto’s disease and a touch of depression. And every little time I feel like I am struggling with something normal, I immediately begin to worry about my own brain. So then I get frustrated, scared and all out mad over my brain. I am only 53 but the chances of me developing some of those same things is high. It doesn’t mean a 100% guarantee of getting it, but it is riding all the time in the back of my head. Today has already been that kid of day of emotional stuff (yay menopause) but it tries to affect me doing what I want with this site and idea. I have a few fears about all if this:
1. I am never going to get it going like I want
2. Nobody is going “get” what I am trying to do and I am doing it for naught.
3. I am running on limited time to do anything.
Unnecessary fears I know, but in my mind they are real. So, here is what my prayers are today. That I can steady my mind and finally begin the focus I need to accomplish these goals I have set. For mentally, physically, and emotionally.
So if this is you, scared of whatever, fears holding you back, it’s okay. We all have them, but I am willing to walk with you because I am going to need to be steadied as well.
Have a blessed day and contact me if you need anything.
Peace and keep Rockin’
